Role Summary
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the parts warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely parts handling, and smooth coordination between the warehouse, service department, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Management
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and accessories against purchase orders
- Store parts in designated locations following proper labeling and classification systems
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
Parts Handling & Distribution
- Pick and issue parts to the service technicians and workshop team based on job orders (if at service center)
- Prepare and pack parts for inter-branch transfers or customer orders
- Ensure correct parts are delivered to the right job or technician in a timely manner
Warehouse Organization & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times
- Ensure proper handling and storage of heavy or hazardous automotive parts
- Follow health, safety, and company compliance standards
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as required
