Professional Technician

Job Summary

The Professional Automotive Technician is responsible for performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnostics, maintenance, and repair activities on vehicles. The role requires the ability to accurately identify faults using diagnostic equipment, technical information, and systematic troubleshooting techniques to ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently and according to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnosis using diagnostic tools, scan tools, and technical information.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators, control modules, and communication networks.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults related to CAN Bus communication and vehicle electronic control systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on engine, transmission, braking, suspension, steering, and air conditioning systems.
• Interpret and utilize wiring diagrams, service manuals, technical bulletins, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, road tests, and verification procedures to confirm fault resolution.
• Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair actions, and parts requirements.
  
  Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
• Support junior technicians by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance when required.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies, diagnostic methods, Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) systems.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service information.
• Good knowledge of diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Ability to diagnose CAN communication and electronic control system faults.
• Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, braking, suspension, steering, and A/C systems.
• Good understanding of modern vehicle technologies, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (EV) systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
