Job Summary

The Automotive Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining vehicle electrical and electronic systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills to identify electrical faults, perform repairs, and ensure all vehicle electrical components operate safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, lighting, sensors, switches, relays, and control units.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and testing devices.
• Install, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical components and accessories.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Inspect and identify electrical faults, short circuits, wiring issues, and component failures.
• Repair and replace damaged wiring harnesses, connectors, fuses, and electrical modules.
• Test and verify the proper operation of repaired systems before vehicle release.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures, safety standards, and workshop policies.
• Accurately document repair activities, diagnostic findings, and parts requirements.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Support workshop operations and provide technical assistance when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Automotive Electrical, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive electrical repair and maintenance.
• Experience working with passenger vehicles is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and modern automotive electronics is an advantage.
